and silvered dial signed Wright and Sellon, London to the
arch, flanked by decorative engraved scroll work.
The silvered brass Roman chapter ring with outer minute
track and Arabic five minute markings.
The beautifully engraved and silvered revolving moon
phases to the arch with painted blue background and gold
stars, beneath finely engraved sunburst and globe.
The scalloped and recessed subsidiary seconds dial with
unusual decorative coloured wax infill and silvered ringed
calendar aperture above VI.
The finely matted dial centre with gilded ornate mask head
cast brass spandrels to the corners.
The fully restored high quality movement is of eight day
duration, with the movement plates united by five knopped
pillars, anchor escapement and rack striking striking the
hours on a single bell.
The movement is fully restored by our horologist who
works exclusively for us.
Our horologist is a Fellow of the British Horological
Institute (FBHI), having 35 years of full time
professional engagement in the repair & restoration of
clocks, watches, music boxes & barometers. He was the
recipient of the 1977 Worshipful Company of Clockmakers
Bronze Medal.
