The 12-inch brass dial signed
Windmills & Elkins London to the lower edge of the
silvered chapter ring surrounded by mask and leaf
spandrels, silvered seconds dial to the matted centre and
calendar dial in the arch with star-cut centre and flanked
by high quality dolphin spandrels.
The fully restored high quality movement is of eight day
duration, with the movement plates united by five knopped
and finned pillars, anchor escapement and rack striking
striking the hours on a single bell.
The movement is fully restored by our horologist who
works exclusively for us.
Our horologist is a Fellow of the British Horological
Institute (FBHI), having 35 years of full time
professional engagement in the repair & restoration of
clocks, watches, music boxes & barometers. He was the
recipient of the 1977 Worshipful Company of Clockmakers
Bronze Medal.
