minute track and subsidiary dials for the hours and
seconds. (Observatory markings), unusual having the
seconds dial to the lower section and hours to the top,
signed to the dial Baron Hill, Regulator, Greenwich Time.

The substantial fully restored movement of eight day
duration, with thick shaped plates united by four large
turned pillars. Fine quality wheelwork and high count
pinions throughout, Harrison’s maintaining power, deadbeat
escapement which is unusually placed on the backplate of
the movement, beat adjustment. The pendulum hanging from a
cast brass bracket mounted to the backboard of the case.
