Overview

A small sized rosewood bracket clock by William Wilson, Southampton Street, The Strand London.   

Case

The well figured rosewood case of typical William IV design. The case with a carved gadrooned top surmounted with brass finial. The sides having brass bound arched glazed panels revealing the polished movement. The clock stands on turned bun feet.

Dial

The arched engraved silvered dial with roman numerals to the circumference, signed Wilson Strand to the dial centre, with cast brass reflector mask.

Movement

The fine quality single fusee 8 day movement with original anchor escapement, shaped plate movement with knurled pendulum restraint.
